Euromangan AD is the owner and operator of the Obrochishte manganese mine in north east Bulgaria. The mine is located 35 km from the Black Sea city and port of Varna and 10 km in-land from the historic coastal town of Balchik.

Obrochishte mine was first developed as a state company during the 1970ís and was privatised in 1997 when Euromangan AD was created as the operating company.

The ore seam lies at 320 m below the surface and is accessed by two vertical shafts. Mechanised mining methods are used for the development of access tunnels and for production mining.

An ore processing plant is located on the mine site. This uses gravity concentration methods to process the ore into concentrates of various qualities, according to the requirements of individual customers.

The final products are transported by road to Varna, or to the Danube river port of Silistra, or export to customers throughout Europe and the CIS.
